HOW MANY TIMES A WEEK SHOULD I WORK OUT?
This depends on your goals. To experience the benefits Pilates has to offer we suggest 2 to 4 classes a week. Most students combine private and group lessons to create a schedule that works best for them.
IF I AM RECOVERING FROM AN INJURY OR GETTING BACK INTO SHAPE, WHICH CLASS IS BEST FOR ME?
Starting with some private lessons is the best choice so that you can achieve your pre-injury function.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MAT WORK AND THE PILATES EQUIPMENT?
The springs of the equipment provide three purposes. 1. Resistance 2. To help your body into greater ranges of motion 3. To act as a destabilizer force so that your core muscles must stabilize you in the movement. The mat work series works with gravity alone.
WHY DO INDIVIDUAL LESSONS COST SO MUCH?
Simply put, quality over quantity. Our instructors are fully trained professionals who invest themselves with their students. As a choice, we limit our class size for an optimal environment for you, the student. Our instructors also take ongoing continuing education to provide the best and most complete training for our students.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Comfortable clothing, no big jewelry or heavy perfumes.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
Most of our students experience results in the first week of working out. They feel taller, stretched out, and sometimes sore in smaller specific muscles. The biggest changes occur between 8 - 12 weeks of a consistent program
WHY SHOULD I TAKE PILATES?
To quote Joseph Pilates, “In ten sessions you will feel different. In twenty sessions you will look different, and in thirty sessions you will be different.”
